And yet another post not published on the correct date but who's counting, right? Here's another set of my Thursday's are for Thankfulness! This week, I'm recounting things I have been especially thankful for over the past week.
1. My best friends. Honestly, the constant encouragement I receive from them & the laughs I get are indescribable. We may not get to talk frequently but when we do, it feels like no time has passed at all! That's my type of friendship. I've learned to value a small number of close friends over a large group of shallow friendships. With these few ladies, I am blessed to have a deep relationship where we can discuss our troubles & give each other encouragement.
2. My week in Italy! If you haven't checked out those posts yet - please make sure you do! There's lots of stories to be read & pictures awaiting your eyes. Trust me, the sights are more than worth it. Italy was everything I hoped it would be & every bit as delicious as I expected. Thank you Gelato, Pizza, & Pasta. You are all my favorite foods. But honestly, I'm so thankful to have had a week of relaxing & exploring in such an amazing country. I will one day head back to Florence, no doubt. The city was more amazing than I can describe & you must go witness it for yourself! Everything about this trip fell into place & it was far more fun than I imagined it could be. I'm so blessed to have spent my spring break in a place as amazing as this.
3. BUT... I am thankful to be back safely in London! There was apparently an airline strike in Florence today & we thankfully missed that by flying out yesterday. There's nothing like returning to your own bed at the end of a trip & having a restful night sleep. Plus it was especially dark this morning, due to the solar eclipse, so sleeping in was a gem. London, you will still be one of my favorite cities but I might've left my heart in Florence...
As always, remember to take some time out of your week to be thankful. Dwelling on the positives around you really makes you a better person... or at least it does me? Not sure if I'm alone on this one :) There are so many things to be thankful for. What are you thankful for today?
