This post is just a mumble jumble of my thoughts & simple parts of my day today. Sundays tend to be my more chill days. They are usually filled with church, long phone conversations, homework, & Starbucks. Life necessities, right?
The man at Starbucks today found it hysterical when I was trying to scan my phone to pay & got a text from Jonathan. Ironically, his name was Jonathan! The little things that can make you smile.
Tomorrow starts my 7th week here & my 6th week of class. Next week is midterms (oh boy, not excited about that one). We are headed to Dublin this weekend, so studying for my midterms will be an adventure. We planned our trip so that we return back early Sunday morning - more time for studying! Studying abroad is actually a very weird concept. I'm in the middle of this large city with so much to see - yet, I have to spend my time studying. That's the way I like it though. I get very easily burnt out from running & running & running... sometimes I don't know when to stop! Homework and studying forces me to stay in & just get work done, as to be less stressed. Yes, stress is sadly still a thing even halfway across the world.
I'm happy to be almost halfway through my program. I know, the minute I land at home, I'll miss this place so much. But for now, I'm ready for the rest of the year to go by quickly. & it will! It's filled with projects, tests, trips, Mom & Aunt, field trips, interviews & academic work for my senior year. You can bet the second half of this trip is about to fly by compared to the first & that's to be expected.
Don't get me wrong, I love it here but sometimes it is still a struggle. However, I'm learning to cope & really, truly enjoying my school work. What a joy it is to actually be enjoying my learning experiences. I'm grateful every day I am in class that I get to be here & learn from these amazing professors. I love the school here - a lot! I'm blessed by that fact.
Thank you for keeping me in your thoughts & prayers - please keep doing so! I truly feel them & am blessed to have so many of you supporting me in my every step.
Happy Sunday.
