Great news!

I have been waiting to reveal this to you all for a while. I figured I needed to save it for a rainy day. Today was not a rainy day here in London but it is a day where I really don't have that much to tell you.

Here's the basics of today: I went to class, did homework, went to another class, came home & did more homework. Wouldn't that be a fun blog post for all of you to read?

So here's the great news - I'll be spending this summer interning at the National Baseball Hall of Fame. I will be their special events intern for the summer. This job entails working directly with the Induction Weekend & all of the events surrounding that. I cannot wait to get started at this position. It was truly a blessing to be chosen & I'm looking forward to learning from this experience.

I have a desire to go into event planning, or community outreach, or law... I'm not sure yet! But I think this summer will help me to decree whether or not event planning is for me. I think it'll be great hands-on experience that will hopefully guide me towards a particular career path. I really cannot wait to get started & look forward to an event filled summer! (jokes!)

Tonight was a typical school night. I had school work to do, from readings to typing up reports. It's nice to have that consistency & routine. I CRAVE routine - it makes me feel balanced & ready to start my day. I only have 66 more days here- how crazy is that? And thank the Lord, my mom will be leaving to visit me in just over 3 weeks! I cannot believe how fast time is going & how soon I will be back in America. For now, I'm just trying to cherish my time left here & squeezing out every bit of fun I can!

I hope you all had a great Tuesday. Sorry my post isn't as detailed & enjoyable as normal but sometimes days are like this! Some days are more eventful than others. That's just the way life is.

Today, one of my cousins suggested I look up Crowder's song, "Come As You Are." Check out the lyric video here: Come As You Are. The chorus says something along these lines: "So lay down your burdens, Lay down your shame, All who are broken, Lift up your face." This has become my reminder to make sure I am looking upwards and not focusing on the struggles I may be facing on that particular day. Hope that helps one of you as well!
