I survived the concert! But really, it was a bunch of older men who were REALLY excited to see the Dropkick Murphys. I, on the other hand, was only relatively excited. IT got a bit too intense for me in the front, so I moved towards the back. Some British girl on a date decided to befriend me & just referred to me as her "American Girl." It was nice to have someone... ha! It was really fun overall & worth it, for sure.
But yet again, I was able to start off my morning with some light reading & waking up gradually. It was so pleasant & perfect. Just the way a Sunday is meant to be!
I then headed off to church, as I always do, at Hillsong London. Wow, today was an amazing service - although they all normally are. I would love share the songs we sing with you, but sadly most of them have not been released yet... Don't worry - I'll let you all know when they are! I love that their services are uplifting & welcoming. The whole theme of the place is "Welcome Home" & they truly do make you feel welcomed.
After church, I had a lovely chat with Mama Bear - as always. She leaves on Wednesday to head here with my Aunt! I keep telling you this... but I could not be more excited to see her & aunt! It's great to have some family in my life & fun weekend trips to look forward to. I think mom is almost as excited as I am, as she should be! :) We planned out a show to see, some day trips to take, & other things... But mostly, the conversation was me repeatedly telling her how excited I was. Lame... I know.
I then headed home & headed back out to the gym. I haven't been in a bit... oops... but I think going to Italy is an acceptable excuse. But it did feel especially great to get back into the swing of things... for the next 4 days at least! Then once mom comes, there goes that again. However, that is another important reason to skip the gym - family!
So now here I am, trying to get some work done & then eventually head to sleep. Little miss procrastinator over here has made a lofty goal of finish all my work for while mom is here before she gets here. Here goes nothing!
I hope you all had a great weekend because I sure did.
