Today is Tuesday and marks 94 days until I return back home. It's weird to see that the days have passed 100 and sometimes it's weird to realize that I am no longer counting down to abroad, instead I am here.
Studying abroad is an opportunity that will change my life forever. In the just over two weeks I have been here, I have learned so much and become a more independent individual.
Things I miss at home this week? Cars. You never realize how difficult carrying your groceries for a mile is until you have no other option. I refuse to pay for a cab and the tube would take an hour! (Exhaggeration but not by much!) I honestly do not mind walking to class or to go on adventures, but sometimes the sites we want to see are far away and that can be frustrating.
I miss home internet. This sounds so pretentious but doing your homework on the crappy WiFi they have here makes me appreciate home so much more.
Speaking of home, I miss basketball and my family/friends. Basketball because we play Duke soon and that game was amazing last year. My family- because Jonathan and grandma are celebrating birthdays soon! Cheesy shoutout...
Anyways, on to what my day consisted of. I attended my first sport marketing class today and absolutely love it. The professor teaches my other sport class and has yet to disappoint! I then spent hours reading articles about the EU and headed to that class. Three hour classes are an experience! My patience and attention span are truly tested!
I love attending school here and feel so blessed to do so. This is the opportunity of a life time and the classes I am taking only add to my amazing experience. This is such a cool city and I can't wait to do some more exploring this weekend.
Good luck tonight SU! You play at a time that is way too late for me to watch. Beat Virginia Tech, so I can brag about it to my flatmate.
That's all for now. Today was a sunny day and a great day overall.
LASSSSSTTTT thought- keyboards are different here. It's weird!
