Sorry for no full update last night regarding my last day in the magical city of Edinburgh. I was quite exhausted after the weekend of travel and opted for some Netflix/reading instead. My day also was spent consisting of hours on the phone with family members and John. All in all, a great relaxing Sunday!
I was telling my mom yesterday, I think I finally feel at home here. You see, on the way home from Scotland I kept thinking about how I couldn't wait to be home. But home in this case did not mean America, it meant London. For the first time, I referred to this place as home. I guess after a month of living here, it does become home.
Scotland was a magical place, as stated before. The colors of the rolling hills and the culture surrounding the area were enlightening and enchanting! When we climbed Arthur's Seat on Saturday, the colors we were treated to upon reaching the top were nothing short of enchanting. I've never seen green, rolling hills like that before. This, however, made me miss home a little bit and hiking with my brother!
Yesterday was spent flying home after a lovely sleep. The bed in the hotel was infinitely times better than the bed in my flat... Things I miss about home? The uncomfortable futon mattress I sleep on... I miss it! But we flew home safely and returned back to our flat. After that, I attended church at Hillsong London. This week's service took place in the Apollo Victoria Theatre, where Wicked is. It was an incredible service, as always, and I look forward to going weekly!
I then spent the rest of my night relaxing, as I was exhausted from my weekend away. So my night was filled with Netflix binge watching and light reading, complete with some knitting (my personal favorite relaxation activity). I headed off to bed and started my Monday! Hope you all had a magical weekend as well.
