I recently purchased a gym membership so my morning was spent lifting some weights and feeling pretty healthy! A lot of people see abroad as a chance to drink their life away, gain some weight, and neglect all of their healthy habits. Not me! Bathing suit time is too soon after I arrive home. I'm not about to waste an entire semester and make myself unhealthy.
So I woke up early and headed off to them. It's about two tube stops away and takes maybe 20 minutes to get there but it is completely worth. I can't even explain how wonderful it felt to finally work out. So here's to my goal of heading to the gym at least 40 times in the next 81 days I have left here! (That's about half so I don't see why I couldn't manage that?)
I then headed off to class, after a shower of course, and am back here right now. Mondays aren't the most exciting days but they signal the beginning of a new week. I like the beginning of a new week. It gives me another chance to experience the city I am in and decide the attitude I am going to have.
Sorry if this blog is becoming more about my thoughts than the things I am doing. But you need a balance of both! Thanks for joining along on my adventures. Feel free to share with whomever you'd like and make sure to check back daily. I enjoy updating you all on the ins and outs of life abroad.
Best wishes for a great week!
