Today was our second and last day in Scotland, as we fly home tomorrow at 8:50am. ( that's 3am in your time!) We had an awesome weekend here in the north.
Today we woke up to immense fog surrounding us in every direction. When looking outside, it almost looked like it was raining but it wasn't! We were really disappointed, as we planned on climbing Arthurs Seat and visiting the castle.
So we headed out and towards the castle, which is more of a stronghold. We spent over 2 hours exploring the dining areas, military artifacts, dungeons, and sepctacular views. As the day went on, the fog slowly began to lift!!
We walked down the Royal Mile and started the trek up to Arthurs Seat. The views along the way were incredible and worth the hike for sure! After about 30 minutes, we finally hit the top. The pictures you are seeing are only from my phone. Tomorrow you'll be treated to more, via my camera and computer!
We then headed for a snack and to visit Heather. Heather is a friend from home and is living in Scotland with her husband. They treated us to a spectacular meal and great conversations. I felt so whole after spending time with her. There's nothing like a little bit of home!
We then headed back to our hotel and are watching some hysterical British dating show. It's off to bed for me soon- as I have to be up early in order to catch our flight.
I feel as though you don't need more than a weekend to see the highlights of this city. We got to see all of the major attractions and even see some people from home. My heart is full.
So blessed to be on this adventure. Thank you for following along with me and for sharing your support. Blessings to you all. Happy Saturday from Scotland !
P.S. GOOD LUCK TONIGHT CUSE. Last time we played Duke, I left with a night full of memories. Here's to winning while I'm asleep!!
