Superbowl

Today's life lessons? A short post but here's what I've learned. The Superbowl in London is just not the same.

No commercials...I swear I've seen the same Jeep commercial 27 times but none of the ones all of you are tweeting about. This is one of the days I wish I could be home. Enjoying chicken wing dip and all my favorite American food.

Oh the commentators here? They suck. They know absolutely nothing about football. They just make things up and ramble on. It makes for a slightly less exciting game.

Here's to hoping my team makes it out on top! We're watching at the student union of a local college which isn't a bad setting. It's not home but it'll do.

Lastly. Thank you Hillsong London for creating a service which makes me want to attend church weekly. The warmth of those who attend is something I have never felt before. As their motto of "welcome home" says, I feel at home here. Finally.

Missing America, good commercials and football! Hope you all had lovely weekends. Here's to week 3 here in London.  Here's to loving this place more day by day but missing my dear sweet home.
