Early apologies for the short update to follow!
What a better way to start off the week then by being Superbowl Champions yet again. No regrets staying up till 3:30am watching the spectacle, surrounding by tons of Brits. Surprisingly, lots of them were supporting the Seahawks. Boo! However, in the end, the chosen team had done it again. I'm clearly a Patriots fan. To my lovely brother, I hope you someday get to feel this feeling of winning the superbowl. (The Bills went 4 years in a row. How many did they win - you ask. None.)
Getting into the swing of things with classes and London life! With it being the second week of classes, I actually have work to do now! Hence my post, hastily written while I try to avoid this never ending reading on the European Union. Thrilling, am I right?
Today started off with a morning learning about King Charles who was executed in front of his castle. What ask sad story to start off with at 9am on a Monday. Especially when half the class was still asleep. Thanks superbowl!
I abruptly ran home after class and stunk in a nap. Greatest life decision ever made! I then headed out with my Sports in the UK class for a 3 hour walk around London. It was a fascinating time, hearing stories of sports I had never heard of to seeing the birthplace of soccer. See photo below! First photo is of the Somerset house, which sadly just finished their ice skating season!
All in all, Monday flew by! The days seem slow while they're going but the moment I hit my pillow at night, I'm shocked to realize yet another day has passed.
Happy Monday!
