Fabulous Friday

Today was yet ANOTHER gorgeous day in London. Clearly nice weather calls for biking & ice cream, right?

Jake & I headed to Hyde Park, where we rented bikes for half an hour & biked the perimeter of the park. Everyone was out on this gorgeous day. There were kids, families & everyone throughout the park.

Barclays has rental bikes throughout the city & we were able to rent them for 2 pounds. AWESOME.

Afterwards, we stopped for ice cream & a bit of people watching. My kind of adventure! Except a decent amount of ice cream ended up in my hair... thanks wind!
Tonight, we headed to Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park, home of the 2012 Summer Olympics. We went to the Copper Box arena for a basketball game. This was professional basketball & wow... it was nothing like the NBA. I honestly felt like I was watching HS basketball.

There were no passes required to be out on the court, the announcer was just relaxing in his chair, & the uniforms weren't even sponsored or made of nice materials... they looked like cotton. Weird.

But afterwards, for some reason, they let us go out on the court. So Kelley & I took a picture. Classssy.

&& now I'm home. Ready for some markets tomorrow & the Boat Race! Hopefully the rain holds off & we have a nice day.

Cheers to another day being above 60 with glimpses of sun & to enjoying international sports.
